My journey to becoming a therapist and opening You Are Enough.

LaShanda Batiste-Collins, LPC-S

Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor

Hi, I’m LaShanda, a Louisiana-approved licensed professional counselor and Board-Approved Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Southern University A&M College, which I earned in 2013.

In addition to my counseling work with individuals and families, I am also a Board-Approved Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and I am currently accepting Provisional Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPCs) who are working toward becoming fully licensed. If you are a PLPC looking for supervision and guidance in your professional growth, I am here to support you on your journey to licensure.

My professional journey has equipped me with a diverse skill set to address both individual and family-related concerns effectively. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings with confidence. Together, we'll work to identify a path that aligns with your goals and empowers you to take meaningful steps toward growth and healing.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing clients embark on their journey of self-discovery and transformation. Many have shared the profound impact of reclaiming control over their lives, and I am honored to be a part of that process.

If you are ready to cultivate a trusting therapeutic relationship and build a healing space where your voice is heard and your experiences are valued, I look forward to connecting with you soon.

My journey of supporting others started back in middle school when friends would confide in me, saying, “LaShanda, I have to tell you something, but you can’t tell anyone.” I’ve always been there for those in need, offering a safe space and caring support. Like many of you, I’ve faced my own doubts—questioning if I was smart enough to finish college or a good enough parent. But by overcoming these challenges, I realized the importance of self-belief. That’s why I named my practice "You Are Enough"—a reminder that no matter what, you are worthy of love, growth, and support.
